Georgios Papadopoulos

Georgios is a senior partner in the firm, specialising in corporate and administrative law. He advises international companies on company law and cross-border mergers and works with semi-governmental organisations on commercial contracts, administrative law and public procurement law.
He has argued administrative law cases before both the Supreme Court and the Administrative Court of Cyprus. Georgios’ experience in public procurement law includes reviewing and advising on public tender documents on behalf of contracting public authorities, as well as representing clients before the Tenders Review Authority.
In 2013, Georgios helped transpose an EU Directive in national law on behalf of a Cyprus semi-governmental organisation. In corporate and commercial law, Georgios uses his extensive experience in international corporate transactions and commercial contracts to advise his clients in the energy, utilities and fintech sectors.
As a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), he is the lead partner ensuring compliance within the firm and regularly attends training seminars on anti-money laundering regulations.
Georgios read Law at Queen Mary University of London and obtained his LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from University College London (UCL) with a focus on banking and regulation of financial markets. He then went on to complete the Bar Vocational Course and qualified as a barrister. He is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.
Georgios also holds an MBA from the University of Cyprus.
