Marios Eliades
FOUNDER
The founder of Eliades & Partners and one of the most experienced legal professionals in Cyprus, Marios Eliades has been active in the legal profession since 1970. His experience spans many legal fields, including corporate law, administrative and constitutional law, and commercial contracts. He provides legal advice to international companies, as well as a number of public and large private corporations in Cyprus.
Marios has been a member of the team advising the Cyprus President since 2014 in the intercommunal talks on the Cyprus problem. He’s also currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and the Board of Trustees of the Takis & Louki Nemitsas Foundation.
In 2018, Marios was appointed to represent Cyprus at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). A distinguished public figure, Marios has served as Minister of Communications and Works, Chairman on the Boards of Directors of institutions such as the Cyprus Petroleum Refinery Company, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, the Cyprus Bureau of Shipping, the Hippocrateion Private Hospital, and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Cyprus. He has also served as the non-executive director of many public and private companies, including Cyprus Airways, Alliance International Reinsurance Public Company, Cyprus Hotels and Digimed Communications.
Marios studied Law and Economics at the University of Athens and qualified as a barrister at Gray’s Inn, London. He pursued postgraduate studies in Management at the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) in France and studied Economic Development and Social Reform at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
